| Queens College of the City University of New York (QC) and University of California, San Francisco's (UCSF) Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine are collaborating on the implementation of the Medical Screening and Surveillance programs for former workers at the Nevada Test Site. QC and UCSF have continued their joint collaboration in the execution of a similar program directed for former workers of Lawrence Livermore, Lawrence Berkeley, and Sandia National Laboratories in California. In September 2005, the program was acknowledged for its work on the behalf of Nevada Test Site workers by Nevada Senator Harry Reid and Las Vegas area Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.
The University of Nevada, School of Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine in Las Vegas, NV (UNSOM FMLV) has worked with QC and UCSF since the program started by having faculty and medical residents screen former Nevada Test Site workers. Presently, FMLV personnel manage the periodic screenings at their Las Vegas facility.
